About Isabella
My name is Isabella and I am a rising sophomore at Harvard College, majoring in applied math. Having recently gone through the college application process, I understand that this can be a very stressful time for many students. I am always very patient, and I believe that support and encouragement is key for a successful tutor-tutee relationship.
I have been tutoring students for several years now, specializing in math and science. Over the last couple of years, I have worked closely with three different students, all of whom achieve top scores in their final exams.

In 2017, I myself took the ACT and scored a 36. When I first began studying, I remember feeling very overwhelmed and unsure where to begin. Over time, and through much trial and error, I came up with effective study strategies that eventually led to my success. As a tutor, I try to alleviate much of the stress that comes with ACT prep by providing personalized, detailed study guides and timelines, helping students feel in control over the material, as opposed to drowning in it.
For my lessons, I strongly encourage my students to purchase the following textbooks:
1. "The Complete Guide to ACT English" by Erica L. Meltzer
2. "The Ultimate Guide to the Math ACT" by Richard F. Corn
3. "For the Love of ACT Science" by Michael Cerro
While taking practice tests are extremely important, I want to make sure my students have a solid understanding of all the key topics that appear on the test. I believe that these textbooks are a great way to start.
As someone who managed to get a perfect score on the ACT, I want to share what I have learned throughout the process so that my students can achieve similar success!
