About Alfonso
Hi there! I recently graduated from Harvard with a degree in Chemical & Physical Biology and am now working as an AP Biology teacher. I have TA'd for Harvard's introductory biology courses for multiple years and have offered 1:1 coaching/tutoring to many Harvard students who struggled in these courses and led them to success. I have also worked in a variety of different educational contexts through a science education non-profit that works to bring science to all!

I take a student-driven approach to learning, where my hope is that YOU leave feeling empowered to solve problems on your own and have taken ownership of your learning. I am happy to tailor lessons to YOUR learning needs, but they're often focused on building content knowledge through problem-solving.
I have worked with students from college students, as well as K-12 students, but my lessons will be particularly helpful for those in AP Biology, introductory college-level biology courses, Honors Biology, and high-school biology.
