About Justin
Hello! My name is Justin, and I am a Harvard Graduate School of Education graduate and licensed educator with eight years of experience teaching high school English. I earned my bachelor's degrees in English and Sociology from Brigham Young University and my master's degree from Harvard.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all ability levels, from those who need extra support to honors and AP students preparing for college. I am passionate about helping students become stronger readers, writers, and critical thinkers while building the confidence they need to succeed academically.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades and performance but also to help them develop skills that will benefit them long after our lessons are over.

Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs and goals. I work with students in grades 7–12 on writing, grammar, reading comprehension, AP English, public speaking, and college application essays. Drawing on eight years of classroom experience and a master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, I use evidence-based teaching strategies that build confidence, strengthen skills, and promote lasting academic growth. A typical lesson includes direct instruction, guided practice, feedback, and opportunities for students to apply what they have learned independently.
