About Arlene
Music production led me to realize that arrangement dictates success. I earned a Diploma of Music Industry at TAFE to formalize my technical knowledge.
Writing songs requires a direct approach to storytelling and prosody. Working musicians and intermediate producers often struggle with genre conventions. I spent 13 years refining these exact methods.

Writing is simply an exercise in decision making. Sometimes I find myself rewriting the same chorus 10 times to get the hook right. My teaching revolves around the mechanics of melody and word placement. We break down the connection between lyrics and rhythm.
I apply my Diploma of Music Industry to teach you how to write to a brief. We explore title development and concept mapping. Every session moves you closer to a finished draft. I ensure your song structure serves the story.
