About Mia
I believe every single student brings something new to the table—from different ways of seeing the world and understanding issues, to unique learning needs. This diversity is what has delighted me most during my time as a tutor. While I consider myself to be flexible and easy-going, I am also very much committed to bolstering students’ learning and deepening their understanding of the subject(s) at hand, which always requires diligent and persistent work.

I have 2+ years experience as a tutor for elementary, high school, and university students across a range of subjects. As a French-Canadian who grew up speaking French at home and at school, I am delighted to be able to offer tutoring services in French as well as in English. I have also worked for upwards of 3 years as a public librarian, which has given me lots of wonderful experience working with people of all ages—from leading story-times with young children to helping seniors with technology related needs.
