About Loris
Hello and welcome to my profile! Originally from Nice, I left my region to attend a preparatory class for the humanities (hypokhâgne then khâgne) in Strasbourg. These two years of demanding training, preparing me for the entrance exam to the ENS in Lyon, allowed me to acquire a solid work methodology as well as excellent mastery of academic exercises in the humanities and social sciences: essays, document commentary, text analysis, oral presentations, exam preparation, etc. I then continued my studies in history in Aix-en-Provence. During this time, I participated in the Cordées de la réussite program in partnership with Aix-Marseille University. This experience allowed me to mentor students with diverse backgrounds, particularly in priority education zones, and to develop a pedagogical approach based on listening, adaptability, and trust. For the past three years, I have been pursuing a Master's degree in History at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS) in Paris, before preparing for the competitive teaching exams. Having passed the CAPES exam in History and Geography (2025-2026 session), I now wish to dedicate my skills and passion for teaching to students. Thanks to my multidisciplinary background, I offer personalized support for all levels, from elementary school to the final year of high school. I can tutor in a wide range of subjects: French, History and Geography, Philosophy, Geopolitics, Political Science, Economics and Social Sciences, English, Latin, as well as providing homework help and guidance on study methods. With a background combining literature, history, and social sciences, I also possess a strong general knowledge base, further enhanced by my university studies, language certifications, and participation in various academic projects. Passionate about languages and foreign cultures, I also studied at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO), where I studied Spanish, Russian, and Mongolian. This allows me to help students develop their language skills, improve their speaking fluency, and gain confidence in their learning. My priority is simple: to enable each student to progress at their own pace, strengthen their study methods, succeed in their exams, and build confidence in their abilities.
