About Anuj
My name is Anuj, a medical student at Newcastle University. I started tutoring when I was 16 and have carried on since because it is something I really enjoy, and what I would have been doing if I weren't studying medicine. I like to believe that I can guide my pupils through difficult puzzles without being overbearing, and the positive feedback I've received from those I teach does seem to reflect this.

In my four years of experience as a maths tutor for different Kumon centres, what I like to focus on is showing different ways of looking at problems, and how to find out the way to get to the answer that works for you. I am a fan of this approach because it allows those I teach to look at problems from many different angles, which is both a transferrable skill in problem solving and also the way that questions in exams, particularly in GCSE papers, like to trick you. I have taught students preparing for their year 6 SATs, GCSEs, A levels, and many stages inbetween.
