About Rocko
I hold a BA in English, an MFA in Creative Writing, and am currently pursuing a PhD in English Literature. I have experience teaching composition at the college level and a variety of creative writing classes and lessons for teens and adults. I also have experience as a college career planning consultant, helping students prepare professional materials such as resumes and cover letters. I would be happy to help you with any or all of your English, literature, or academic, creative, or professional writing goals!

I approach lessons student-first, figuring out the strengths and goals of each individual in order to figure out an effective process for empowering to achieve those goals. We all have unique thoughts and ideas, and my lessons are geared toward helping students put those ideas to the page. I often take a creative, low-stakes approach to beginning any project, with smaller, incremental assignments leading up to a larger piece of writing.
