About Sophia
I’m currently a second year at the University of Essex studying politics and international relations. Why I want to tutor is because I’ve been told by a few friends and colleagues that I’m the best person to go to when it comes to helping and explaining things, because of my different methods. It also brings me joy when I see people go from completely not understanding something to being confident in the subject using my methods or help.

Whilst I would say I’m quite stern and very professional, I’m also very patient and believe that taking my time is the way to get results. I am also receptive, so I can also adapt to what works for you best. I also prioritise my student feeling comfortable and making sure they understand the content learned, so I’ll happily go overtime to make sure the knowledge has sunk in. I’ll also set small homework tasks to keep the content going around the brain.
