About Lauren
My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I worked as a Food Safety Microbiologist before earning my Masters in Education. I have been teaching professionally for 2 years, but since college I have tutored friends and others in General Chemistry, Biochemistry, and General Biology.

My approach is to explain the topic being covered and then walk students through problems and let them work out the answers for themselves. This has worked well for most students since they are the ones who find the solutions and reinforces the process of how to solve problems in chemistry. If this doesn’t provide enough understanding, I like to draw diagrams/pictures to show how and why something happens.
