About Emily
I am a motivated and responsible high school student who enjoys helping others learn and improve their English skills. I take pride in being patient, supportive, and well-prepared for every tutoring session. My goal is to help students feel more confident in their reading, writing, and overall understanding of English.
Because I am currently in high school, I understand what teachers expect from students and the challenges that can come with homework, essays, and tests. I focus on explaining ideas clearly and breaking down difficult topics into simple steps so students can learn more easily. I always encourage questions and create a positive, comfortable environment where students feel supported.

I take a patient and supportive approach when tutoring. I try to explain ideas in simple ways so students can really understand them instead of just memorizing. I like to break things down step by step and use examples to make concepts easier to learn. I also encourage students to ask questions so they feel comfortable and confident.
A typical lesson would start by reviewing homework or topics the student is struggling with. Then we would go through explanations together and practice with examples or questions. I also help students with reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and essay structure. At the end of the lesson, we review what was learned and go over any questions.
What sets me apart is that I am a current high school student, so I understand what students are learning and what teachers expect. I know some of the challenges students face and can explain things in a relatable and simple way.
My lessons are best for elementary and middle school students, or younger high school students who need help with English, including reading, writing, grammar, homework help, and essay preparation.
