About Maizie
I have been tutoring for over 4 years.
Next fall, I will attend Stanford University to study Earth and Planetary Sciences. I scored a 35 on the ACT (with perfect 36s on English, Reading, and Science) and a 1470 on the SAT.

I like to first assess what my learners know, so I know what we need to target and focus on the most. Most lessons (depending on the subject) will include slides that explain various sub-topics and include practice problems. Each sub-topic will follow the "I do, we do, you do" format where I demonstrate how to solve a problem, we solve one together, and then I let you solve one. I also have a focus on truly understanding the "why" behind problems, not just the "how".
