About Nia S
As a recent HS graduate, I know how the public school system works. I know that the teachers would love to help every student, however, it starts getting difficult to spread themselves over 200 students. I'm here to be a second source of teaching and support for students who would like to have that. I'm used to working with younger students (peer mentoring, big-sis/little-sis, etc) so I know how to explain information in different ways to make sure that a student understands what they are doing. I'm also very patient, so we can take as long as it takes to make sure that you understand the techniques and problems so you can have the confidence to solve them on your own.

I'll teach:
-PreAlg/Alg1/2
-Trigonometry
I'll show you different techniques to solve equations and teach you how to problem-solve on your own. We work on homework and test prep skills. We will use different online sources as well for supplemental practice (Khan Academy, IXL, BrainPop, etc).
I used to be afraid of math when I was in elementary and middle school. But then I learned that all I needed was a good support system. I'm here to give you extra support when the problems get tough! Together, we will get you the support you need! :)
