About Elyssa
I grew up in a middle class household and lost my father at a very young age. This stunted my growth in school because I was preoccupied at a very young age with depressive thoughts.I made a consistent C/D in elementary school all the way up until 7th grade. I started to really work in 8th grade when I found my love of science and it boosted my confidence after I found a topic that I enjoyed. In my sophomore year of high school when the pandemic hit I started to struggle with school and my mental health, my grades deteriorated back down to that C/D average But I got help though and got right back on track with my A/B average! It wasn’t easy, but with the love and support I was shown I climbed back on top. I coach Little league volleyball and just now finished out my last season of volleyball myself so helping younger people and people around my age is not anything new to me and I absolutely love to help every chance I get!
