About Jovina
Hi Students! My name is Jovina Joy, maybe you can call me Joy if you’d like because I love to bring joy to students when they are learning. Anyways, I am from Malaysia and I had just graduated high school last year. I studied IGCSE’s and my biggest struggle was English as a first language. However, I learned that there was a specific way to answering questions and a structure to follow. When I started following the given structures my grades never went below an A. Therefore, I would love to teach English as a first language for those who are sitting for their IGCSE exams because it is my expertise and even those who just want to learn English. I love teaching English because I find many ways to creatively deliver my knowledge to students.

Hello! I am a high school graduate who achieved an A* in English as a First Language in my IGCSE examinations. I am not currently enrolled in the University of Auckland for the Bachelor of Education. I normally would teach up to an hour and a half because EFL is a skill and it takes lots of understanding and practice to master the subject. I have tutored a range of students who were struggling with English on a basic level to students who were preparing for their IELTS exams. I believe in practice makes perfect and learn from every mistake.
