About Maria
I have formally tutored over 3 high school students (grades 11 and 12) in the past year who have reported very positive outcomes. I help you go above and beyond of your goals. I have graduated top of my class in June 2022 with the highest average of my peers and gained the science award due to my academic achievements. I have also gained 4 subject awards in both sciences and mathematics. Evidently, I am passionate about education and I wish to make a positive impact on the educational journey of other students.

As a tutor, I will look to advance your skills and help you achieve your goals (for students in kindergarten all through high school). I will go over lessons and help you create create visuals, diagrams, study guides, and/or mind-maps (if applicable) that are effective in helping you understand the material thoroughly. I will also personalize my teaching methodology to best match your learning methods, whether that is through visuals, readings or audios. Additionally, I find that teaching someone else a concept is the best way to learn so I will be asking you to explain your thought process when answering questions or have you explain a concept to me.
