About Eric
I am a former US Navy nuclear-trained officer with a background in biological research. I am finishing my first year of teaching high school, where my total number of students is approximately 180. I have hands-on experience in the sciences that I teach, and I can relate these subjects to anyone.

I teach my classes with a lot of student involvement. I like to have a discussion between myself and my students about the subject to see what everyone is thinking and how we are interpreting the lesson. I prefer to demonstrate problem-solving techniques before handing the reins over to my students to see how they can independently solve the same types of problems with a decreasing amount of guidance over the lesson.
