About Rachana
Hi there, I am a high school student who is a dedicated and passionate tutor who specializes in physics and math. With a strong academic background, including past competitive math experience and teaching experience as a tennis coach, I adapt my approach to each student’s learning style. I hope to create a supportive environment, building confidence through clear explanations, practice problems, and timely feedback. I am committed to helping every student I teach achieve their academic goals!

I tailor my teaching methods based on each student’s comfort level with the topic. If a student struggles, I explain the material and work through several practice problems together. Then, I provide additional problems for them to try independently while offering guidance and support as needed. If they need a refresher on the topic, I’m ready to reteach the concept in a different way to help them understand.
For students who already have a solid understanding, I take a more supportive role. I might give them additional practice problems or observe as they work through their own. I step in when necessary to clarify difficult points or offer nudges. I enjoy working with students from a variety of academic backgrounds, and love being able to see their progress both short-term and long-term!
I recognize that students learn differently, so I like to incorporate various teaching methods, such as visual aids like graphs or hands-on tools like solid figures, to help make abstract concepts more accessible. What sets me apart as a tutor is my adaptability, the variety of techniques I use, and my genuine interest in each student's growth and success. I primarily teach kids up to the high school level, and can teach all types of math concepts up to Calculus!
