About Raymond
My name is Raymond Liu, a grade 12 student at R.C. Palmer Secondary in Richmond B.C.! I have experience in various subjects such as high school Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology etc. As a student, I have learned studying habits and learning strategies that are the most useful to achieve a high academic standing. As a tutor, I am always happy to address any problems you face, whether it be during or outside the classroom. Outside of academia, I also enjoy hiking, running, bird-watching and spending time outdoors with my family and friends. My teaching methodology revolves around forming close connections and strong understanding as a fellow student myself.
A typical lesson plan:
- Asking any questions from previous lessons or homework
- Expanding upon an existing lesson or teaching a new concept
- Working together to apply skills to multi-step questions/word problems
- Enabling the student to work on sample questions individually
- Addressing weak spots/misunderstood concepts
- Working towards positive results :)
My lessons are designed for elementary to high school level students currently learning or pursuing Pre-Calculus, Physics, Chemistry.
As a current high school student myself, I am able to connect to students on a deeper level and provide helpful and relevant resources including my own tips for studying, past tests, current curriculum and study habits.
