About Alexei
My name is Alexei, and I am a rising senior at Middlesex School. I am a high honors student with a 4.0 unweighted GPA, and I was selected to serve as a peer tutor at my school. I tutor a range of subjects, including math, English, Spanish, computer science, physics, and chemistry. I have taken advanced and AP-level courses in many of these subjects, so I can help students with both foundational and advanced topics. Additionally, I scored a 1530 on the SAT, so I can help students with SAT preparation and test-taking strategies. Through my school’s peer tutoring program, I have experience helping students one-on-one. I am comfortable working with middle school and high school students. My goal is to make students feel less overwhelmed and more prepared, whether they need help with homework, studying for tests, improving writing, preparing for the SAT, or strengthening their overall understanding of a subject.

My lessons are focused on making difficult material feel clear and manageable. I start by identifying exactly where a student is having trouble, then break the topic into smaller steps with examples and practice problems. For math, science, and computer science, I focus on helping the students understand the concepts behind the material they are struggling with, rather than having them memorize formulas or steps. For English and Spanish, I help students improve grammar, reading comprehension, and writing. My lessons are suited for students who need help with homework, test preparation, SAT prep, or building stronger overall confidence in a subject.
