About Max
I'm a high school teacher, hockey coach, and volunteer firefighter with a strong academic background. I attended an elite liberal arts university in the USA and earned a Master's degree with distinction from the London School of Economics (LSE).
I seek to help students strengthen their performance and hone their intellects in humanities and social science courses. I place a particular emphasis on writing and critical thinking skills, and how to strengthen students' independent thinking abilities to help them stand out in the age of AI.
As a high school teacher, I have experience teaching English, Canadian Law, World Issues, Civics & Citizenship and Career Studies in Ontario.
As an undergraduate student, I studied political science and history. In my postgraduate studies, I pursued a degree in conflict/war studies.
I am hoping to connect with high school and university students and families who value intellectual rigor and are dedicated to self-improvement.

I am particularly strong in the fields of English, history, government, and other social sciences and humanities.
I seek to create an atmosphere with students that pairs high levels of support, encouragement, and humor with targeted growth goals and high academic ambitions.
