About Daniel
As an educator for twenty-four years, I care deeply about helping students to progress their knowledge and understanding. My experience spans several large secondary schools, and in all cases I have led and managed curriculum areas within the Humanities, mostly relating to History. I also have senior leadership experience with responsibility for whole school teaching and learning. As an examiner, I have worked with OCR and Pearson, and have a great understanding of assessment criteria and how to achieve success. My roles have always included teacher training, mentoring and coaching trainees, but I have also delivered materials and training across a range of venues and sometimes to groups of over one hundred trained teachers.

Lessons are based around: Clear learning objectives, Spaced retrieval and practice, Positive relationships, Strong subject knowledge, Relevant resources provided to support learning, Constructive feedback to move learning on, 'How to' guidance on how to think and communicate like a historian. Duration: up to one hour long. History: Key stage 3, GCSE and A level. Religious Studies: Christianity, Islam, and Ethics at Key stage 3 and GCSE. Developments in Christian Thought at A level.

Perfect! Daniel agreed to do a number of exam prep sessions for GCSE History and kindly fitted my son in at the weekend, to enable some short-term tutoring. My son was finding it challenging to answer the history paper questions, in a way that maximised his marks and Daniel took the time to assess where he needed to develop his answers and providing the advice on how to do this. Ultimately, my son felt better prepared and more confident in approaching his history exams, due to Daniel being approachable and knowledgable of the subject/exam papers. We would highly recommend him.
Perfect! Lovely tutor who is extremely knowledgeable about his subject and ensures student is prepared well! My daughter is very happy and is enjoying lessons with Daniel
