About Gem
My name is Gemma and have been an avid fan of history all my life. I believe learning history can lead to a deeper understanding of people and the current climate of today. I truly believe given the chance history can awe and inspire. I understand it is a lot of book reading and date learning, but my goal is to show that it is far more than that alone.

I believe in a student led experience. The student understands their own strengths and weaknesses. Where struggling I will offer support and guidance. Where thriving I will offer praise and assurance. I believe in lessons having a set structure, beginning, middle and end that leaves the student feeling like they have not been left with any unanswered questions and that they understand the direction of the lesson.
I have privately tutored siblings and friend's siblings informally in the past and am now taking it to professional level.
Lesson length can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour long depending on the depth of the particular lesson.
My lessons are for GCSE and A Level students, ranging from the ages of 13 to 18 years.
