About Katja
History Graduate teaches GCSE and A Level History, English and both the written and practical aspects of Drama. Qualified and practicing Secondary School Teacher of Drama and PE. Initially, I will have a conversation and maybe a (very relaxed) assessment so that I can ascertain your level of ability, and know where to pitch my teaching so that it serves you best. Lessons will be 45 minutes to an hour and will be comprised of a mixture of discussion, reflection of previous work, developing writing styles, exam preparation and practice, and hopefully will be a good time for you to feel like you can cover any areas or topics you find particularly difficult. My lessons will be best suited to those going into or at GCSE and A Level years. As a recently qualified teacher, who has worked through the pandemic, I understand how difficult the past two years have been, especially on those in or going into the exam years. I will aim to use a pedagogical approach to help rebuild your confidence and ability, so that you are able to achieve the results of which you are capable. I want to work with you collaboratively, finding ways to make you feel able to thrive in the subject independently.
