About Joanna
Although English is my native language, it wasn't my first. I moved to the UK as a child and am bilingual, speaking both English and Polish. I believe this gives me an ability to better grasp the nuances of language and therefore better able to teach them.
I currently work on a policy team in the charity sector. I often write, edit and proofread complex material with the intention of simplifying language to make it more inclusive and understandable.

My tutoring style is relational and will depend on what level of support you are looking for from the lesson. We will work together to figure out how I can best support you in your strengthening your writing. Whether that be spending time on structure and grammar, or simply editing and proofreading.
I tutored year 8 and year 9 children while at university, and have spent many hours helping my parents and siblings with getting their writing to a higher standard.
