About Zohaib
My appreciation for humanities subjects stems from a strong desire to understand societies and the deep cultural context found in history and literature that constructs who people are. I want to encourage a drive about pursuing critical and empathetic areas of study. I come from a disadvantaged background and managed to get into Oxford University, and I feel that passion and ambition is what helped me excel and want to foster the same sentiments in other students. My background also means I am attentive to students' circumstances and individual needs while also believing in everybody's abilities.

I believe that having a deep, subject-specific passion as well as
is what is necessary to excel. I encourage framing A-Level content within discussions of ideas between tutor and tutee to create active interest. Sessions would be an hour long and constructed around a student's requests (including essay planning, discussion and annotation of texts and sources) but will integrate wider historical and literary context. These sessions would be geared to students who are interested in pursuing these subjects at university or just enjoy these subjects and want to explore them to a higher degree.
