About Fani
I am a graduate researcher in organic chemistry at the University of Delaware with a passion for making STEM subjects approachable and engaging. My academic journey began at Pacific Lutheran University, where I developed a strong foundation in chemistry and mentoring through collaborative learning and peer support. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy helping students discover their own problem-solving style and build confidence in tackling challenging scientific concepts.

I focus on building strong conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization by breaking complex STEM topics into clear, logical steps. Each lesson is structured around identifying specific challenges, reviewing key concepts, and working through problems together using guided practice, visual explanations, and real-world examples. I tailor my teaching style to each student’s learning preferences and end every session with a brief study plan to reinforce skills and improve academic confidence.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Pacific Lutheran University and am currently pursuing a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Delaware. I tutor high school and undergraduate students in chemistry, biology, and math, including AP/IB courses, general and organic chemistry, and pre-med or STEM majors (including MCAT prep!).
