About Pooye
I hold a Ph.D. in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Arizona and a TOEFL certificate, with extensive experience teaching Persian as a second language. Currently, I am a high school history teacher at Cincinnati Country Day School, where I teach Ancient and Modern World History, emphasizing world governments, religions, and revolutions. Additionally, I offer courses on the history and culture of the Middle East and North Africa. Between 2011 and 2018, I taught Persian language courses at the University of Arizona, the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Arabic Persian Turkish Immersion Program, and Northwestern University.
