About Jhanae
I am an honors student with extensive experience in academic writing, research, and long-form projects at the high school and undergraduate levels. Through my own coursework, thesis work, and research-based assignments, I have developed a strong understanding of how to structure clear arguments, analyze sources effectively, and communicate ideas with precision. I approach tutoring with professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. I understand that writing can feel overwhelming, especially when assignments are complex or expectations are unclear. I emphasize structure, clarity, argument development, and proper citation, and I tailor my feedback to each student’s goals and learning style.
A typical lesson:
A session usually begins with a brief conversation about the assignment requirements and the student’s concerns. We then review the student’s work together, focusing on thesis development, organization, and clarity. I help revise sections in real time, explain why certain changes strengthen the writing, and end the session by outlining next steps the student can take on their own.
