About Alex
In high school, as part of a guidance and peer leadership course, I worked with special needs children. I helped the children focus, complete their tasks, understand content, and learn to treat each other and themselves with respect.
With my BA, at most, I could be a teacher at a community college. I can at least be a tutor, consultant, homework helper, or peer mentor.
I have a list of references to support my good character and claims to intelligence. I have some old assignments with which I can substantiate my academic qualifications. I will make my supporting documents available upon request.

I graduated from Carleton University. I earned the following degree:
Combined Honours Bachelor of Arts, Major Philosophy, Minor Psychology, High Distinction.
Almost every year in high school I was on the Honour Roll. Almost every year in university I made the Dean's List.
I believe anyone can be an excellent student if they set their mind to it. Of course, you do not need to excel at everything. However, you need to be sufficiently capable concerning life's essentials. And you want to be proficient at the things you enjoy doing. If you enjoy philosophy, psychology, and English, I am the tutor for you. I can help you do well or at least get better. My lesson plan is geared toward homework help, but I believe I could in theory instruct at a college level (full disclosure: I do not yet work for a college).
I can conduct sessions at a convenient location or online. I can meet over email, Google Docs, Zoom, and text/call via my mobile phone.

Should the student require multiple hours to complete certain assignments (such as essays and presentations), I can substitute a per word or per page/side rate for my hourly rate. I think $0.025 per word, $5.00 per page, or $2.00 per slide is fair.
