About Leah
Hello! My name is Leah, I’m 26 years old and I’ve been playing the drums for 13 years.
Over the years, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge and experience through learning with different drum teachers, completing drum grade exams up to Grade 8, studying music at college, and earning a degree in Professional Music Performance, specialising in drums.
I’m passionate about helping others discover the enjoyment of playing drums and developing their skills as musicians. My favourite genres to play are rock, grunge, jazz and funk, but I enjoy exploring a wide variety of styles and music.
I’m excited to share my experience and passion for drumming with students of all ages and abilities!

Fun, Interactive & Hands-On Drum Lessons
I’m passionate about teaching and helping drummers of all ages and abilities develop their skills and confidence as musicians. My lessons are fun, interactive and hands-on, with a focus on making learning the drums both enjoyable and rewarding.
I use a wide range of material from books, websites, videos and other resources, tailoring lessons to suit each student’s individual goals, interests and ability level. Students will learn not only how to play the drums, but also how to read and play along with music, developing a strong understanding of rhythm, timing and musicality.
For students who are interested in taking drum grade exams, I have the knowledge and experience to guide them through the process and help them prepare with confidence.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, an experienced drummer looking to improve, or working towards an exam, I’m here to help you enjoy your journey as a drummer and reach your full potential

Perfect! I had such a great experience learning drums with Leah! She’s incredibly patient, encouraging, and really knows how to break things down in a way that makes sense—even if you're a complete beginner like I was.
