About Sydney
I am a local professional artist whose work has received national recognition from the Oil Painters of America (OPA) and PleinAir Magazine.
Throughout all four years of my degree program, I worked as a peer teacher and mentor within the fine arts. My teaching philosophy is centered on growth, learning, and constructive feedback. I approach art objectively, helping students identify both their strengths and areas for improvement in a supportive environment.

I have a strong technical foundation in drawing and painting, with oil painting being my primary medium.

My teaching approach focuses on building a solid understanding of the fundamentals while introducing more advanced concepts in drawing, painting, color theory, value, composition, and observation. My goal is to help you develop both your technical abilities and your confidence as an artist.
