The way I teach will totally depend on you, and what and how you would like to learn. If you are a student pressed with an upcoming deadline, we can work together through you portfolio to give you the best shot at getting that coveted university placement.
The most important aspect to remember in art is there is no right or wrong. No matter what you get told, only personal opinions can get in the way. I do not believe you can teach art as such, but instead find a solution that will open up possibilities and answers for the artist. There is no good technique are bad technique, it is what works for the individual.
Hello, I am an artist and tutor and teach art to all ages. I firmly believe that learning should be fun and so whatever level I teach at I ensure that my students feel at ease. That way they will make better work! I like to give students room to explore whilst teaching formal skills in drawing and painting. I teach drawing and painting in their widest forms.
Depending on your own needs and dreams I will create a unique teaching method. My main goal is to inspire you and help you find your own source of creativity. The first lesson is a good chance to discuss and experiment with different alternatives.
My teaching method is very experiential. I leave space for your own intuitions and support them by teaching you techniques. I let you play first because by playing first your inner artist is not inhibited by the rules... Rules come later to support your inner artist and make you more objective in judging by yourself what you have created.
My teaching method is fun and inclusive. I like the students to work with me step by step. I am keen to answer questions along the way and I welcome new and insightful ideas, proposals and techniques. It is important that the student develops their own flair when practising art, and that they find their own sense of individuality.
I have experience in teaching Art to 11-16 year olds but am willing to provide support to younger or older years. I believe people learn best through visual demonstrations and questioning. I like to 'chunk' tasks and build confidence in a persons ability to be creative.
To begin with I will start off with a basic test and see what the student already does and then give basic skills and techniques needed for basic artwork. I will be able to ask the student what they would like to do and help them improve in that section and also give the student some test and lessons after teaching them and observe what they still need to improve.

I'm an Italian artist with more then 20 years of international experience I had the opportunity to instruct a diverse kind of people and as result I have developed a good teaching techniques and instructional methods that allowed me to educate all style and age of learners and promoted art appreciation and developed creativity.
The student can choose from any of the sketching or painting mediums. She or he will learn the basics of sketching, watercolour, acrylic or charcoal painting techniques. Once the basics are covered, we’ll move on to lessons in painting different subjects. Depending on the level and the interest of the student, they will be encouraged and tutored.
Art is fun! I structure my lessons to reflect that. I split the sessions between practical and theoretical waves in a way that they will complement each other without overwhelming the student but rather emphasising what the theory has to say with the practical side of things. All in all, I love to get hands on the work. It is art after all. p.s: I also teach collage sessions if interested.
My method of teaching covers all aspects of learning to draw and paint in various mediums, with a kinaesthetic approach, the learners having a hands on experience along with visual learning in the form of technique and 'how to' demonstrations and aural explanation.
In order to teach you must be able to approach a medium and subject with the ability of knowing how to imagine not already being able to do it and so therefore able to teach someone how to start from the beginning . Patience and communication is key.
I love to offer a fun and productive environment where students can see their skills improve each time. I start off with the basic methods of shading & mixing paint, and then move on to forming a image.
My teaching is entirely student-led. Once I have been briefed on what the student wishes to achieve in the lesson, then we can plan it together - whether that's simply to gain pleasure from creating art, preparing for an art exam or preparing for entrance to art school/university. I am able to take into account personal preferences, learning styles and abilities.

Depending on the level of the student and goal to achieve my tutoring approach will differ. When teaching children my philosophy is simple: Teach the Basics and let them develop their own unique style and skills. When teaching adults than a more technical approach to the fundamentals of drawing, light, colour and perspective are essential to be taught.
Friendly, understanding, responsive, adjustable and communicative. The best teaching method is the one that your students respond to adjust my methods and strategies in response to students’ ability to learn the material being presented. I think that direct instruction is best used when working with students below grade level.
I provide private painting and drawing tuition for beginners to advanced, children and adults. You can study one-to-one, with a friend or in a group, and each lesson is specifically tailored to your individual needs. A comprehensive lesson to sharpen your life drawing skills and painting skills.
Art should be fun! Adults in particular are often worried that they're "no good at art" because they "don't know how to draw" but I can teach you (a) that this isn't true, and (b) that you can if you want to once you learn how! I work in a variety of 2D and 3D materials and am happy to provide a scheme of work which ups your general skill level or focuses on a particular area of interest or...
My teaching method is mostly practical. First, I give a short historic and technical brief about the form of art. This helps the student get introduced to the subject. Then, a demonstration helps them understand the process. There sure are some tricks to achieve a certain result and ways to fix the mistakes. At the end, you will have a skill and a beautiful work of art to take back.
I believe anyone can draw. It’s all about imparting the techniques and skills and giving students the confidence to put those into use. With practise and knowledge comes confidence and the ability to expand their creativity.
I pride myself in my ability to fully immerse myself in the ideas and concepts of the student I’m teaching. This helps me aid them in creating not only work which reaches school specification but also helps me aid them in evolving their own personal style, interests and ideas.
I tutor people from all backgrounds with varying aspirations, whether they want to practice art as a hobby or go on to study at Foundation or Degree level. Lessons are tailored to the person or the group, there is little structure with the emphasis being on freedom of expression & experimentation. My aim is to inspire & for the students to enjoy what they do.
The beauty of art is that anyone who has a passion in it can learn it with the correct guidance. I believe the best way to teach it is to let the student lead the teacher. Student are free to decide what they want to make and I guide them along and teach them relevant skills to improve their abilities to make and create.
My teaching method is to get stuck in-get messy! First I'll give tips and an important lesson on paint brushes! I'll move onto different techniques of painting and what paint to use. Then will have a refreshing swim in healing artwork.
