About Rumali
Hi I'm Rumali (call me Mali),
When I'm not working, you'll probably find me reading about social issues, current events, or getting lost in a documentary rabbit hole. I hold a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Sociology and Security Studies and genuinely love helping students make sense of humanities and social science subjects. Whether you're struggling with an essay, preparing for exams, or just looking to improve your understanding of a topic, I'm here to help make learning feel approachable and engaging.

My goal in any lesson is not just to teach but to help students find the topic they are learning interesting and relevant to their own lives.
In my day job, I am a family law paralegal. This is my first time tutoring and an outlet for my passion for the humanities and social sciences.
Fun fact: new information is best in focused blocks of 60 to 90 minutes before saturation occurs, which is why I like to keep my lessons to a maximum of two hours.
Creating an environment of mutual respect and encouraging students to engage rather than listen is the basis of my teaching style.
