About Jacob
My name is Jacob and I have just finished currently studying a Masters in Machine Learning and AI at Imperial College London, having obtained First Class Honours in my first Masters degree in Physics also at ICL.
I have been teaching for many years! I am quite new on s
Superprof, hence the lack of reviews (I used to tutor many people by word of mouth, but during Covid, connecting by word of mouth has been hard!).
I am excellent at teaching very confusing Physics and Maths principles, and breaking the problem into straightforward bite-size chunks. I have guided many students to success with Oxbridge interview preparation, physics and maths entrance exams, and A-levels and GCSEs.
Studying at Imperial College London for the 5th year has taught me some invaluable problem-solving skills, that I am keen to share with other students who aim to follow along a similar path. Having obtained First Class Honours, I must be doing something right!

My style of teaching is no-fuss. I like to think I have developed a very efficient method for learning Physics and Maths that allows me to fully enjoy the subject, as well as getting as high a grade as possible. It would sure be a waste to let my techniques go to waste... ;)
Without giving too much away, I like to make sure that the person I am teaching understands the concept from first principles so that they can breeze through the more complex ideas. Furthermore, I find that regularly alternating between practice questions and theory learning is a remarkably efficient way to learn. After all, Physics and Maths is all about solving problems!
