About Gonzalo
Hi! I am Gonzalo and I am a final year PhD student at Imperial College London, doing research in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering. Before this, I did a Chemical Engineering degree back home in Peru. :)
I am passionate about research, but I am equally as passionate about teaching, which is something I have been doing for a while, both in one to one tutoring sessions and in classroom settings at uni.

Hi there! I'm a PhD student at Imperial College with a BEng in Chemical Engineering. I have over eight years of experience tutoring maths and science courses (chemistry, physics, and thermodynamics). I am happy to deliver tutoring sessions in person or online, in English or Spanish! Based in West London.
I have experience teaching students from different levels and backgrounds. I have given lessons to children as young as 10 years old and to engineering university students.
In terms of the format of the sessions, I typically start by asking what the student is wishing to learn during the session, in order to tailor it to their specific needs. After this, I like to use a problem-based approach to teaching, where we identify any difficulties and target them as soon as they are spotted!
Sessions would normally be one hour long, but I'm happy to go beyond this in case it is needed.
