About Manasi
Hi! My name is Manasi and I'm an incoming Columbia University student. I have 3+ years of experience tutoring with large organizations such as ENGin and Schoolhouse, for a variety of subjects, with math and physics being my specialty. In particular, I focus on standardized math testing preparation (SAT and ACT). I scored a perfect 800 on the Math portion, and I truly believe that with the right tutor and strategies, you can too! I want to help others build real intuition and confidence rather than memorization of formulas. I also want to make this learning accessible from anywhere, and I'll be able to help off call as well. I also understand that needs can change from one lesson to the next, and I offer flexible rates to accommodate for this change. I'm extremely fast at responding, and I'll likely get back to you within a couple of hours. Additionally, you can always contact me outside of class for help and support. There are millions of tutors to choose from, and I'm so glad you landed on my page. I'll help you understand math and physics intuitively so you can reach your academic goals! I start by asking students about the specific areas they want to focus on, if there are any. From there, I outline a plan that I share with the student and we make changes as necessary. In a typical lesson, we will spend time reviewing problems, going over new concepts through lecture and practice, and then answering any remaining questions. I value being supportive and structured in my lesson plans. I understand that middle and high school can be tough, and I want to help as best as I can! I've been through these experiences myself, so I'm familiar with current school curriculums, types of problems asked on standardized testing, and effective strategies to maximize your score. I'm extremely patient and I don't mind going over concepts/problems as many times as needed until it clicks! I do all my meetings over Zoom (preferred for screen sharing and showing work), but I'm happy to use other mediums such as Google Meet if they work better. I'm excited to teach you and help you love math and physics as much as I do!
