About Kelly
I am the mother of two grown children. While my own children were growing up, it was important to me to be there to help with homework, read, sing, and volunteer in their classrooms. I was inspired to become a special education teacher at a young age. I ended up with a great career in pharmacy for many years. Now, for the last 9 years, I have been doing what I love and am well on my way to becoming that special education teacher and having a classroom of my own.
In the meantime, I would love to get the chance to help more students via tutoring to make a difference for every student I meet as well as get additional experience teaching!

I believe in meeting each of my students where they are academically. My first approach is to get to know what my students strengths are and work on improving where they need extra help. As I work with my students, I ask them to explain what they understand and assist them with what they struggle with as they follow, and we work together before they are confident on their own.
I would like to continue working with K–5th grades, as I currently work at the elementary level.
