About Caitrin
Hello! I’m a college freshman, currently studying in Northern Ireland, and IB diploma holder with a background from a top-ranked school district, where I maintained straight A’s in English and graduated with a GPA over 4.0. But it’s more than just grades—I genuinely love literature! Whether it’s Shakespeare in the Park or immersing myself in Jane Austen novels, my passion for stories drives my approach to teaching.
I’m here to make English fun and accessible, using proven strategies and a supportive approach to boost your confidence and skills. Let’s dive into the world of literature together!

I focus on breaking down complex literary concepts into simple, relatable ideas, guiding students in analyzing texts, and building strong writing skills. Lessons are interactive, using discussion and practice exercises to engage and empower each student.
I incorporate Socratic and Scaffolding methods of teaching which allow the student to build connections and understanding through guided conversation and questioning.
Each lesson is one hour with flexibility to personal discussions and structured learning.
I am a native English speaker who graduated high school with honors and the IB diploma with a GPA of 4.10. I am highly passionate about English and English literature.
Lessons are geared for an audience of 6th to 9th graders.
