About Jade
My name is Jade and I am 20 years old. My mother tongue is English and I have previous experience in teaching English to middle school children. I am studying a bachelor's program in Peace and Development Studies at Uppsala University. I love reading English literature and going for long walks in the woods. I am a friendly and helpful person who is passionate about learning and working with other people. I am patient and creative and am always ready for a challenge.

My lessons aim to meet my students where they are at and accommodate them at their unique levels. Everyone learns differently and my goal is to understand how each individual would learn best. Speaking English is the first and most effective way to learn quickly, so all my lessons are held in English. Thereafter, I create fun exercises to improve the grammar of written English and to teach my students to listen and comprehend the language. This could, for example, would involve letting my students choose a book to read, read aloud and practise pronunciation. I would then ask them to write a book review and present it to me to teach presentation skills. I would also go through their written text and correct grammatical errors as well as teach them how to improve their text.
