Gretchen was born to be an educator. When she approaches a course, she does more than look at the scope and sequence. She devised plans and ideas to spark a passion for learning the material. This can be clearly
evidenced in the way her students view her and the fact hat they often speak of the course content beyond the four walls of the classroom.

Gretchen is a team player, adaptable to work effectively with groups of different kinds and sizes. The respect she garners from students, colleagues, parents, and school leaders is admirable.

There is no question that Gretchen will be a positive addition to any professional learning community. She will raise the level of discourse and professionalism and follow through on all of her sutures in an Dempsey manner.

It is with hope and excitement that I write this recommendation for Gretche. It was a pleasure to work with her at the International School of Estonia, as an MYP English Language and literature teacher.
Rae is a teacher who with great care, knowledge and dedication supports and guides the students in her classroom. She gets to know her students and then through carefully planned instruction, thoughtful differentiation and assessment helps them grow and develop as confident learners. She includes the students in planning the learning journeys, and considers their questions in the inquiry process, and ways they can take action and make a difference.
Rae has continued to improve her own practice in order to provide the best learning experiences for her students. She held a role of MYP 4 (grade 9) advisory teacher successfully. She is a reflective teacher who is able to analyze her own practice with students in the focus.
Rae is comfortable using technology for learning in order to organise her classes through Google Education Suite products e.g. Classroom. She also uses technology tool to make assignments and assessment interactive and student focus e.g. News Broadcast for captivity narratives unit.

I met Rae while teaching in Thailand. She is a great teacher, knowledgeable, thorough and trustworthy.

Gretchen(Rae) was my favorite teacher in high school. I can wholeheartedly say that she is an exceptional teacher! She is so friendly, humorous and knowledgeable. She knows how to interact with her students and she is especially good at tailoring her her style to the needs of her students. Gretchen(Rae) knows how to keep her students engaged and is very skilled at making harder topics easier to understand. When I was her student, I found myself getting genuinely interested in topics that used to intimidate me, or looked boring because she made me feel capable and always managed to make things more appealing. Gretchen really cares about her students and truly wants them to succeed. I would highly recommend her as a teacher!

Gretchen is a highly motivated tutor and expects a lot of her students. I have found the rigour of her approach and level of preparation to be impressive and she is able to help students of literature and language achieve highly. Recommended!
