About Gerhard
As my profile already states, I am an International Studies Honours student at Maties and I aim to break into the academia and earn my professorate in the future. Therefore, nailing the bread and butter tutoring and training the academics of the future is a great step to get me prepared for the future.
This is a great medium for me to test out my skills I have learnt over the past four years through applying it on other's work, aiding others to understand the confusing world of academic literature as well as getting feedback and my tutoring style.

My lessons are aimed at providing advice on writing better essays. You will get nowhere in the social sciences if you cannot write an essay. I have received distinctions for academic literacy as well as my module on logic. I am well placed to judge your current project's coherence and argumentation.
Only book me when you have at least a rough draft to present to me. During our session I will scan through your key arguments and make my judgement whether I think the argument has been proven adequately. Thereafter, we will move together, paragraph by paragraph, to see if your arguments are logical. If there is enough time we can work on coherence, structuring, sentence construction and other minor work to push your mark up to a distinction.
I specialise in essay writing, I am not well placed to tutor on content which I have dealt with multiple semesters ago. General philosophy theory and political theory I will be able to assist on, but you will be able to find better help on campus by asking a mate.
