About Katie
My name is Katie. During my school years, I hated math because it seemed like a foreign language to me. As I got older, I learned math in a way that made so much more sense! And I decided that I wanted to help students like me who struggle with procedures and memorizing to better understand math concepts. I will help you make sense of math and help you see how it fits into your everyday life! You will find confidence in yourself that you never knew you had! Before you know it, math won’t be so scary!

Struggling with understanding math? My former students have said that I changed math for them. Before having me as an interventionist, it didn’t make any sense. But after being with me for a quarter or two, using visuals and teaching the why rather than just a procedure to memorize, they no longer hate math!
