About Olivia
I am currently an Italian student at the University of Western Australia and completed ATAR Italian in high school, where I developed a strong interest in the language and Italian culture. Through studying Italian for many years, I understand that learning a language can sometimes be challenging, especially with grammar, speaking, and essay writing, which is why I want to help other students feel more confident and capable in Italian.
I want to teach because I enjoy helping others learn and improve, and I know how valuable it is to have someone explain things clearly and patiently. When I was studying Italian, I found that practice, encouragement, and clear explanations made a big difference, and I want to provide that same support to students now.
Tutoring also allows me to stay connected to the Italian language while I continue my university studies.

My approach to tutoring focuses on building confidence, understanding, and exam skills rather than just memorising content. For Italian, I focus on the key areas needed for success: grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I like to structure lessons so that we revise grammar concepts, practise applying them in sentences and understand why and how we use these certain points.
