About Kim
My teaching philosophy is to break complex topics down into plain English. Students learn best in an easygoing, judgement free setting and that's the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons. As for my experience, I have a Master's in Computer Science, I currently work in cybersecurity and I've previously taught different subjects to a variety of ages and backgrounds.

Lessons will cover everything you need to know to get started in Java, one of the most versatile and commonly used programming languages.
During our lesson, you'll learn fundamentals such as:
*Coding with an IDE
*Object Oriented Programming
*Using for loops and if statements to control flow
*Basic data structures
For those already familiar with Java, I offer you the chance to hone your skills. We’ll cover topics such as:
*Inheritance and polymorphism
*Inputting and outputting to files
*More advanced data structures such as lists, maps and sets
* Tackling leetcode/hackerrank style programming puzzles.
Feel free to reach out for a conversation and we can chat about what you’d like to learn. Lesson length can be tailored to the individual – one hour would be suggested. Lessons are online, or in person if local.
