About Karry
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, a post-graduate certificate in journalism, and a certificate in teaching English as a second language. I have extensive experience as a tutor and writing coach, as well as a mentor to university students enrolled in journalism courses. My approach is to always put the student first. We begin by discussing the student's goals and any concerns they have about learning. We also determine how I can best support the student's learning. Together we establish a plan to reach those goals together within an environment of open communication, mutual respect, and encouragement. Each student's learning plan is tailored to their unique abilities and goals.

I have a wealth of experience working as a tutor and writing coach to learners of all ages and abilities, from elementary students to adult learners. As a journalist, I am able to assist with all types of writing, including research essays/academic papers, creative writing, business writing, and technical writing. I can assist with reading comprehension and study plans/techniques. I also have certification and experience working with those who are learning English as a second language. My approach is to meet students where they are at with their reading and writing abilities and to help them develop techniques and strategies to achieve their goals.
