About Valerie
I am a multiple subject teacher with a masters degree/education/thesis-reading and writing. I have been tutoring for eight years. I have taught many students that achieved the honor roll in english/language arts when our lessons and time were completed.My teaching method is one on one or small groups. I base my classes on establishing trust and build confidence in my students when learning, which is critical for every student. I approach each topic with an activity that provides a visual to grasp the concept.

My teaching method is broad based to specific. I teach a wide range of students from primary grades and upper grades K-10. I prepare each student to achieve academic success in the subject they are struggling with. Reading comprehension, writing skills, and essay writing. I start small with a short reading prompt, then narrow the down the lesson with comprehension questions and sentence structure. This is the foundation for writing and essay writing. I model the structure for writing a paragraph then leads to an essay of three to five paragraphs depending on the grade.
