About Folakunmi
I have been teaching with Debate Mate for about a year; mainly intimate groups so that I can attend to each child individually.
In the year that I have been teaching my students, a marked improvement in the literacy skills of students who were previously in intervention groups has been noted by teachers, as well as an improvement in student performance in general.

My teaching method is to engage students with the subject matter by relating it to their lives and encouraging them to strive for more out of a sense of self growth. I approach each topic by emphasising the context of the writer's life, contexts of reception and the language used to elicit effects.
