About Sammy

Hi, I’m Samuel WD—though most people call me Sammy. I’m a professional drummer with over five years of experience performing, recording, and teaching across the U.K. and Europe. Since 2019, I’ve been travelling to London, Manchester, and Bristol, performing with bands and exploring styles from rock and pop to Afrobeat. Along the way, I discovered what it takes to start from scratch and grow into a confident, versatile drummer. Now, I focus on helping beginner drummers take that first step with confidence. My lessons are designed to be fun, engaging, and easy to follow, covering the fundamentals like rhythm, timing, technique, coordination, and simple improvisation. You’ll learn to play the songs you love while building a solid foundation for the future. Whether you’ve never touched a drum before or are just starting to find your groove, I’ll guide you every step of the way—and show you how exciting drumming can be.

Sammy's response
Aiden is doing well! Keep practicing with the metronome and play along to “We Will Rock You” using the groove I taught.

I’ve been taking drum lessons with Sammy for a few months and I really appreciate how he breaks down complex rhythms clearly while keeping lessons fun. I’ll never forget mastering a tricky drum solo with his guidance. His patience, knowledge, and encouraging style make him an excellent tutor, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their drumming.
