Wing Chun Martial Arts Training – Tailored for All Ages & Abilities
Logical, Engaging, and Safe Martial Arts Instruction

With experience teaching students ranging from young children (as young as 4) to seniors in their 80s, I bring a flexible and personalised approach to every lesson. My strength lies in connecting with individuals, understanding their unique needs, and adapting my teaching style to help them thrive — whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills.

As an enthusiastic and highly motivated instructor, I love breaking down Wing Chun principles through clear and logical explanations — often drawing on my background in Engineering to make complex concepts easy to understand. For instance, using simple physics like Force = Mass x Acceleration, I’ll show you how to harness your body mass and speed to maximise your striking power and efficiency.

A typical session includes:

Dynamic warm-ups and stretching to prepare the body

Sil Lim Tao (the first form in Wing Chun)

Technical drills and applications covering a wide range of self-defense scenarios

Cool down/stretching to prevent fatigue and aid recovery

You'll gain practical self-defense skills such as:

Close-quarter combat

Defense against multiple attackers

Countering kicks, ground attacks, and arm grabs

Knife defense

Chi Sau (Sticking Hands) – a unique and essential aspect of Wing Chun reflex training

I am CPR and First Aid certified and trained in injury prevention, so you can feel confident knowing your safety is always the top priority.

Whether you're here to build confidence, improve fitness, or learn effective self-defense — I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

  • 1) At what age did you start practicing this sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.

I started practising Wing Chun at 20 years old while studying at university and working part-time. It became a great way to stay active, build discipline, and manage stress during a busy period of my life.
  • 2) What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?

I play badminton at a relatively high level, and I also enjoy sports such as basketball and ice skating as hobbies. I'm always open to trying new activities that challenge coordination and balance.
  • 3) What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue this craft?

I enjoy Wing Chun because it is simple to learn yet becomes increasingly challenging as you advance. I also appreciate how it incorporates logical principles similar to engineering concepts, which makes the techniques very efficient and practical.
  • 4) Do you have an achievement that you're particularly proud of?

I earned my Level 1 qualification (equivalent to a black belt level) after demonstrating my ability to spar effectively. Achieving this milestone gave me a strong sense of confidence in my skills and training.
  • 5) How have your achievements and challenges made you a better athlete?

Wing Chun has taught me to use all my limbs simultaneously to defend and attack, improving my coordination and reaction speed. It has also given me the confidence to control and neutralise opponents effectively in different situations.
  • 6) If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?

I would choose Bruce Lee, as he was one of the most influential martial artists of all time. I would ask him how he developed such a strong mindset and how he trained to combine speed, power, and efficiency in combat.
  • 7) How do you help people stay motivated?

I give students positive encouragement and clear feedback so they can see their improvement every lesson. I also tailor the training to their level and gradually push them slightly beyond their comfort zone so they continue progressing.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof?

I have been on the platform for many years and have helped students achieve their goals in both Wing Chun and 3D printing. I’m known for being friendly, patient, and genuinely invested in helping my students improve.
